Stephen Watson is the newest member of the One Metre Barra club with and impressive Daly River fish of 106 cm. Stephen was fishing with his friends Craig and Katrina when he caught this fish on 31/07/11. He was trolling a Reidy’s Big Ass B52 lure on his outfit (Shimano Curado 201E7 spooled with Cabella Ripcord SI+ 50 line and a Live Fibre Territory Barra 8kg rod). Stephen backed up his fish with another of 94cm 10 minutes later. Catching this Metrey consumed three months of Stephen’s weekends and spare time but he caught plenty of 80 and 90’s as a consequence and that is not a bad problem to have. Needless to say looking at the photo he is one happy chappy! Stephen says the Daly has continued to fire after the run off and the fishing is still on!
